Abstract Constraints
is the first solo show of painter and recent graduate from Maryland Institute College of Art, Chuckwuemeka Chukwu’s work.
While in school, Chukwu studied architecture. Rivalling at the chance to explore the usage of space, Chukwu utilizes a minimalist exhibition focusing on just four works. The sharp, calculated mark-making of his paintings, and usage of balloons along the gallery floor, dares the eye to dance around the entire space.
